THE IRISH FAMILY!

Peter Irish was born 26 May 1743 at Quaker Hill, Duchess County, N.Y. and married Mary Corey. In the spring of 1767 he went to Danby, Vermont with his family and in 1791, after the American Revolution, Peter moved his family to Ernestown, Ontario. He was preceded by his son, Abraham, who came in 1790. In 1798 he petitioned for land and in 1802, he was granted 200 acres - lot 18, 5th concession in the Township of Haldimand. I am still in need of documentation that Peter, b1806, is a son of Abraham.

A debt of gratitude is owed to Connie (Irish) Murray who constructed Abraham Irish's family. He appears to be the only son of Peter to settle in Ernestown. Copies of her work were left by her at the archives in Kingston and Napanee.
