Anthony and Hannah had two children. James born c1833 in Nottingham. He married Hannah Kniveton??? Oct. 06, 1868 in Sheffield, Yorkshire. James died Dec. 08, 1899 in Nether Hallam, Yorkshire. Thomas Ogden born June 27, 1834 in Arnold, Nottingham married Mary Pearson Jan. 18, 1858 in New Radford, Nottingham. He died in Markham, Ontario, Canada on Feb. 07, 1911. Mary Pearson was born in 1830 in Nottingham, England and died on Oct. 24, 1870 in York Township, Ontario. Mary's parents were William and Rebecca Pearson.
Thomas and Mary had six children. Hannah born March 23, 1858; James Henry born Oct. l4, 1860, and Thomas William born Nov. 16, 1862, all in
Radford, Nottingham. Joseph born Aug. 18, 1867; Nehemiah born Oct. 17, 1868, and Henry Kniveton born Sept. 19, 1870, all in York Township, Ontario.
Joseph Ogden married Sarah Catherine Kelly (Smith) of Grafton, Ontario in Markham on Apr. 08, 1896. Little is known of her parents or their origins. They had seven children. James Leslie born Feb. 07, 1897; Mary Ester born July 19, 1899; Henry born June 18, 1902; Joseph Cecil born March 21, 1906; Nellie Iola born Nov. 5, 1908; Thomas Anthony born June 29, 1912; Mildred Kathleen born July 26,1917. All the children were raised on their farm at Island Lake, (near Stouffville) Ont.
Sarah Kelly (Smith) died on June 18, 1941 in Ingersol, Ont. and is buried in Stouffville. Joseph married Olive Beatrice West on April 26, 1947 in Scarboro Junction. She died Oct. 21, 1976 and is buried in St. John's Norway Cemetery in Toronto. Joseph died April 21, 1957 at the home of his daughter Nellie Iola West in Scarboro Junction, and is buried in Stouffville.
Nellie Iola Ogden married Harold Ernest West on Dec. 07, 1929 in Scarboro Junction. They made their home with Harold's father William Henry West on Granger Avenue in Scarboro Junction, where they raised their four children.
Harold died on Oct. 24, 1972 in Scarboro and Nellie on March 6, 1993 in Clearbrook, B.C. They are both buried in St. John's Norway Cemetery.
Anthony Ogden born c1779,(birthplace unknown, but would appear to be Derbyshire, England) married Hannah Kniveton born Dec. 1st, 1798 in Wirksworth, Derbyshire on April 24th 1828 in St.Peter Church, Derbyshire. Anthony's father was Samuel Ogden, but I have no additional information. Anthony died March 03, 1843 in Tibshelf, Derbyshire. Hannah's parents were William Kniveton and Mary Holbrooke. Hannah died in Feb. of 1837 in Arnold, Nottinghamshire.
