Indices to the Hope Township assessment returns (1842-1847)...
Gratitude is again extended to the late Percy Climo of Cobourg, who took it upon himself many years ago to transcribe, by hand, the Hope Township census returns. In many cases, assessments were also done for some years in the 1803-1851 range, but only the census returns have been available for on-line searching (on Peter Bolton's site). As there were no census indices for 1842-1847, the following assessment returns have been transcribed with the kind permission of Percy's great-nephew, Dan Climo.
